Glos Associates Inc. was hired by the Town of Kingsville to design a recreational facility/hall on the site of the former King’s Landing Restaurant. The new building will be a key component in the Town’s waterfront development project, Mettawas Park. Interior programming will include: banquet hall, kitchen, washrooms, and mezzanine. The new facility will be approximately 7,500 square feet.
The rich presence of Victorian-era architecture in Kingsville and the natural environment were key design elements for this project. Glos prepared three design options that were voted on by town residents. The winning design will pay tribute to the former Kings Landing facility and the Grovedale House. The new facility will be used for event rentals and recreational programming. The building is scheduled to open in Fall 2018.
