As Glos’s President and Engineering Manager, as well as a Civil Engineer himself, Tim directs and coordinates all of the engineering components of every project. Tim is the principal point of contact between the Glos architectural design team and each of the engineering teams, including Civil, Structural, and Mechanical. With 17 years of diverse engineering experience, Tim provides discerning direction and leadership to the multiple engineering teams to harmonize all disciplines and to optimize scheduling, improve cost savings and ensure predictable, smooth progress. Tim’s exacting project management style has ensured quantifiable client gains in every project he has managed. With extensive experience with large-scale renovations, Tim offers valuable insight into energy and cost saving measures throughout the design and construction process.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Windsor and is a licensed Professional Engineer through Professional Engineers Ontario.
Paul Driedger Vice President & Architectural Manager
As Glos Associate’s Architectural Manager, Paul coordinates day-to-day logistics and facilitates ongoing communication between all parties, including the client’s user-groups and multiple stakeholders, architectural design team, engineering teams, consultants and construction team. With 23 years of diverse architectural experience and expertise in sustainable design solutions, Paul provides insight and discernment to the design development process and ensures that both the client’s needs and technical requirements are integrated into the design from conception to realization. Paul disentangles the complexity of the project to ensure that the client is informed of the design evolution in relation to their concerns, requirements, and vision.
Paul holds a Diploma in Education from the University of Western Ontario, and a Diploma in Architectural Technology from St. Clair College. Paul is a member of the Ontario Association of Architects and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada as a licensed technologist, as well as a member of the Canadian Green Building Council as a LEED Accredited Professional.
As the Project Architect, Randi examines and unfolds every client need, program requirement, and project goal and translates them into a comprehensive and innovative design solution. His 26 years of design excellence in the Windsor Region, and his commitment to ͞green͟ and accessible design, allow Randi to identify design opportunities within every aspect of the project, and provide the expertise to ensure that each sustainable and accessible design strategy is achieved. As the principal point of contact between the consultant team and construction team, while also working closely with the Engineering teams from the outset, Randi ensures that the execution and outcome of the project are in complete alignment with the project vision. Randi is a recognized industry leader in sustainable and environmentally responsive architecture, and provides a wealth of insight into possible energy savings, durability, and reduction in long term operating costs. His experience encompasses a broad range of schools and community buildings, with many of these involving additions, renovation, restoration, and retrofits. Randi is truly an expert at adaptive reuse.
Randi holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Carleton University. Randi is a member of the Ontario Association of Architects and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada as a licensed architect, as well as a member of the Canadian Green Building Council as a LEED Accredited Professional. Randi received the WCA Award of Excellence in 2011 for the design of the Rotary Home for Children and Youth in Windsor, ON.
As one of the founders and Senior Architect of Glos Associates Inc, Jerry oversees the design process from beginning to end, and provides insight and feedback from the wealth of his 50 years of architectural experience. An expert in community buildings and places of worship, Jerry has led the architectural design for thousands of projects to date, including many schools and community buildings.
Jerry holds a Bachelor of Architecture from McGill University and is a member of Ontario Association of Architects and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada as a licensed architect. Jerry has received multiple civic design awards for design excellence, including the A.G. Award for Retrofit, the Premier’s Award for Accessibility, and the WCA Award of Merit in 2011 for Hospitality Institutions. His unwavering commitment to his community also led him to win the Charles Clark Award in recognition of his countless volunteer contributions to the University of Windsor.
Aaron Ashley - Lic. Tech. OAA, LEED AP Director of Business Development
A graduate from St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology in Windsor, Ontario, Aaron has worked as a Senior Technologist, CAD Manager and Marketing Manager over the past 15 years at Glos.
Aaron is now the Director of Business Development, focusing on achieving company revenue goals, nurturing existing client relationships and recruiting new corporate alliances. Aaron gives direction in strategic planning including the identification of current and future industry trends and the value proposition for the company. As a LEED-accredited professional, Aaron also understands the sustainable design culture and assists with incorporating environmental strategies throughout the firm.
Aaron contributes to the local community through involvement in Doors Open Windsor and has a focus on local neighbourhood Ford City where he sits on the Ford City Redevelopment Committee. Aaron is also an active member of the Windsor Region Society of Architects – a local chapter of the Ontario Association of Architects and contributes to his alma mater by sitting on the St. Clair College Architectural Advisory Committee.
As a Financial Manager, Nicoleta plays an integral role in planning, developing and implementing corporate and financial strategy for the business while being a key source of advice and support to the top administrative officers.
Having 15 years of experience in accounting and finance, Nicoleta continues to support the senior management team with analysis and data that enhances their decision making ability.
A strong community contributor, Nicoleta volunteers at the Kids Cove for a local church in Windsor-Essex.
Shane Mitchell - Dipl. Arch. Tech., LEED AP Project Manager
With over 12 years of experience working on a dynamic range of project types, Shane will lead your project from the very beginning of schematic design, into the creation of highly detailed technical drawings, and through the construction process. Utilizing the latest building information modeling (BIM) techniques, Shane guides the project team through a process that results a building solution to meet the occupants needs and ever more demanding building standards. Shane’s expertise in development and space planning, urban design, building envelope and energy efficiency including and green building solutions provide value during the design process and for years after occupancy.
A graduate of St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology in Windsor, Ontario and a graduate of the University of Windsor Mark has worked within the respective field for more than 30 years. As the Project Manager, Mark facilitates the on-going momentum of the project as it transitions from schematic design into design development, and then later into construction documents and on-site construction. Mark maintains the project schedule, costs and approvals, as well as coordinating the various detail components. With a broad range of experience of 30 years in Public, Private, Government, Large Residential, Commercial, Institutional, Industrial, Mark brings perceptive reasoning and foresight to the project team. Mark contributes to the local community through involvement with Local travel teams coaching and mentoring youth in life lessons. Mark is a current board member of Riverside Minor Baseball Association and a varsity coach at St. Clair College for the past 22 years. Mark is also an active member of the Windsor Region Society of Architects – local chapter of the Ontario Association of Architects.
As a Technologist and Project Manager at Glos Associates, Kyle contributes to our team of architectural staff to ensure that goals and intentions agreed upon between the client and the design team are fully integrated into the project drawings and communicated through the contract documents. In his 10 years of architectural experience at our office, Kyle also takes on the role of Lead draftsman for large and small projects and is highly proficient in CADD and BIM software. Kyle has contributed to the design and development of a variety of building types, including multi-story residential buildings, churches, sport complexes, and industrial facilities. A strong community contributor, Kyle volunteers as a hockey coach for local youth in Windsor-Essex Region.
Grace Chaberska - Masters of Architecture Intern Architect
As a new comer to Canada, Grace recently joined the Glos Team. She is a graduate of Architecture from the Technical University of Gdansk and worked as a professional Architect in Poland. Having spent 3 years living out of a back pack and traveling the world, Grace brings a unique creativity and style to her work. Being an accomplished artist, specializing in sketching and water colors, she has the ability to incorporate different styles of architecture into the conceptual designs. Grace spends her free time teaching painting, creating murals and doing chainsaw sculptures.
Valerie WrightB.A.S. Arch., M. Arch., OAA, LEED AP.
In her 10 years of architectural practice, Valerie’s experience has spanned everything from the complexities of custom residential, to the larger coordination efforts required for projects like schools, care facilities, offices, and other commercial/institutional sector work. She has expertise in wood frame construction, advanced building science, urban planning, and development in urban centres. Valerie’s graduate thesis explored alternative methods for development in urban centres, focusing on the preservation and amplification of social complexity. Committed to her community, she has volunteered her time and talents to events such as TedX, and Building Waterloo Region.
Valerie holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Architecture and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Waterloo, and was awarded honors from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada for graduating in the top 10% M.Arch candidates in Canada. Valerie is a member of the Ontario Association of Architects, as well as a member of the Canadian Green Building Council as a LEED Accredited Professional.
Frank Difazio B.E.Sc., M.Eng., P.Eng. Mechanical Engineer
Frank graduated from UWO in 1985 with a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Frank has been registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario since 1995. As the lead Mechanical Engineer at Glos Associates, Frank is responsible for the plumbing, fire protection and HVAC systems for all Glos Projects.
Being at Glos for over 15 years, Frank has worked on a number of large mechanical projects and buildings including the new Windsor Star Printing Plant, Chrysler ARDC on Rhodes Drive, new Windsor Chrysler Car Dealership, UofW Automotive Research Building, new St. Clair College SportsPlex, new Leamington District Secondary School and numerous Retirement/Long-term Care Homes throughout Ontario.
Frank has also worked on numerous Industrial Projects including Windsor’s Zalev Brothers Plant, GM Transmission Plant, Ford Casting Plant, Kautex Corporation, C.E. Jamieson Pharmaceutical, Windsor/Chatham Water Treatment Plants, Tilbury Waste Water Treatment Plant, Harrow Research Centre, Nemak Windsor Aluminum Plant, LDM Technologies in Leamington and McCormick Foods in London. With over 23 years of experience, Frank offers streamlined and reliable expertise in coordinating all mechanical building services and components and he will ensure all technical and practical design requirements are incorporated into the building design for both large and small projects. Frank has been an active member in ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Engineers) since 1993.
Nadim has recently joined the Glos team. Nadim is experienced in civil work including: Storm Water Management design, Storm and Sanitary Sewers design, sewer separation, water distribution system design, road design, and subdivision design.
Furthermore, Nadim has experience working in the greenhouse industry preparing storm water management reports and reviewing project construction. Nadim’s 16 years of experience in the construction/consulting industry is a welcomed asset to the Glos Team.
Deepak is a professional engineer (P.Eng.) and project management professional (PMP) with over 20 years of proven expertise in planning, engineering, design, construction and managing medium to large scale engineering projects in an international consulting and EPCM environment. He is proficient in finite element analysis (FEA), static/dynamic structural analysis, modularized building design using software’s like StaadPro, S-Frame, Dyna, SAP, ETAB, EnerCalc, & TEDDS. He has also hands on experience in operating AutoCAD, Revit, PDMS, Smart-Plant and Navisworks for modeling and design of facility.
Deepak is actively involved with professional association in authoring questions for National Professional Practice Exam (NPPE) and Project Management Professional (PMP) exam question development, besides mentoring professional engineer aspirants.
As an Intermediate CAD Technologist at Glos Associates Inc., Bridget contributes to the architectural staff to ensure that the goals and intentions agreed upon between the client and the design team are fully integrated into the project drawings and communicated accurately through contract documents. She has over 15 years of experience in the Architectural and Engineering fields.
Having worked closely with Bridget in previous years while she worked for Randi Glos Architect Inc., she has proven to be an ambitious, knowledgeable, diligent, personable and reliable part of the Glos team.
She is also experienced with design, project coordination between all disciplines and contract administration from the conceptual start of a project through to the completion of construction.
A graduate from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute in Ottawa, Ontario, Chantal is an architectural technologist by day and a pastry chef by night. By professionally bridging these two fields Chantal has tapped into her aptitude for hands-on creation and detailing, whether the project is a wedding cake or a new school building.
Stacie Teasdale is the Marketing Coordinator at Glos Associates. Stacie works alongside Aaron Ashley, the Director of Business and Development, to prepare proposals, create promotional material and maintain a social media presence.
Stacie graduated from Sheridan College with a diploma in Architectural Technology in 2001 and has 16 years of experience working in multi-disciplinary design firms in Toronto, Kingston and Windsor. Her passion lies in the way that the public and private realms of the urban environment can work together to create vibrant, mixed-use urban spaces.
As the Lead Structural Designer, Jennifer works closely with the Structural and Civil Engineers as well as our architectural, mechanical and electrical teams to ensure that goals and intentions agreed upon between the client and the design team are fully integrated into the project drawings and communicated through the contract documents. With over 20 years of experience in many facets of the construction and manufacturing industry and 12 years of experience at Glos, Jennifer also takes the lead on managing the communication between the departments to maximize the level of coordination between disciplines.
Walker, born in Bracebridge, Ontario, is a recent graduate of St. Clair College and has joined the Glos Associates team to further her knowledge and experience in the world of Architecture. Walker is always eager to learn new things using the program Revit and looks forward to gaining much more experience from her fellow team members at Glos. When not at work, Walker is a fan of the cinema, loves animals and after spending a month in New Zealand has caught the travel bug to see new places and people around the world.
As Administrative Assistant, Cheryl assists with all administrative tasks here at Glos; from helping with all clerical aspects of our projects and proposals, to ordering supplies and managing databases.
As receptionist and first impression of our company, she has successfully mastered the art of providing a warm and welcoming environment in our reception area and continually strives to make every visitor feel welcome whether they visit in person or on the telephone.
