A graduate from St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology in Windsor, Ontario, Aaron has worked as a Senior Technologist, CAD Manager and Marketing Manager over the past 21 years at Glos.
Aaron is now the Director of Business Development, focusing on achieving company revenue goals, nurturing existing client relationships and recruiting new corporate alliances. Aaron gives direction in strategic planning including the identification of current and future industry trends and the value proposition for the company. As a LEED-accredited professional, Aaron also understands the sustainable design culture and assists with incorporating environmental strategies throughout the firm.
Aaron contributes to the local community through involvement in Doors Open Windsor and has a focus on local neighbourhood Ford City where he sits on the Ford City Redevelopment Committee. Aaron is also an active member of the Windsor Region Society of Architects – a local chapter of the Ontario Association of Architects and contributes to his alma mater by sitting on the St. Clair College Architectural Advisory Committee.
In her 14 years of architectural practice, Valerie’s experience has spanned everything from the complexities of custom residential, to the larger coordination efforts required for projects like schools, care facilities, offices, and other commercial/institutional sector work. She has expertise in wood frame construction, advanced building science, urban planning, and development in urban centres. Valerie’s graduate thesis explored alternative methods for development in urban centres, focusing on the preservation and amplification of social complexity. Committed to her community, she has volunteered her time and talents to events such as TedX, and Building Waterloo Region.
Valerie holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Architecture and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Waterloo, and was awarded honors from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada for graduating in the top 10% M.Arch candidates in Canada. Valerie is a member of the Ontario Association of Architects, as well as a member of the Canadian Green Building Council as a LEED Accredited Professional.
As Glos Associate’s Architectural Manager, Paul coordinates day-to-day logistics and facilitates ongoing communication between all parties, including the client’s user-groups and multiple stakeholders, architectural design team, engineering teams, consultants and construction team. With 35 years of diverse architectural experience and expertise in sustainable design solutions, Paul provides insight and discernment to the design development process and ensures that both the client’s needs and technical requirements are integrated into the design from conception to realization. Paul disentangles the complexity of the project to ensure that the client is informed of the design evolution in relation to their concerns, requirements, and vision.
Paul holds a Diploma in Education from the University of Western Ontario, and a Diploma in Architectural Technology from St. Clair College. Paul is a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, as well as a member of the Canadian Green Building Council as a LEED Accredited Professional.
As Glos’s President and Engineering Manager, as well as a Project Civil/Structural Engineer himself, Tim directs and coordinates all of the engineering components of every project. Tim is the principal point of contact between the Glos architectural design team and each of the engineering teams, including Civil, Structural, and the engineering subconsultants. With 28 years of diverse engineering experience, Tim provides discerning direction and leadership to the multiple engineering teams to harmonize all disciplines and to optimize scheduling, improve cost savings, ensure coordination and predictable, smooth progress. Tim’s exacting project management style has ensured quantifiable client gains in every project he has managed. With extensive experience with large-scale renovations, new builds and site developments, Tim offers valuable insight into “whole picture” value engineering cost saving measures throughout the design and construction process.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Windsor and is a licensed Professional Engineer through Professional Engineers Ontario and New Brunswick.
